These days I’m mostly eating for fuel, no doubt about it. Do I like it? Not so much. I like the way the food makes me FEEL – I feel energized, revitalized and “light”, and it makes me satisfied that I know the body is getting exactly what it needs in order to look a certain way, the way I need it to look. I LOVE the way it makes me look – the minute I dial in my diet, I easily “tighten” up and shape up, especially when not drinking alcohol.
These last few days I’ve been SUPER hungry. They say that is a sign that you are getting leaner, your body is burning the fuel you are giving it, quicker and quicker. I’m working out 12 times a week, in addition to going for walks with the dogs and I have a very physical job where I lift heavy items, walk a lot, stand on my feet, etc. The past two days I’ve had breakfast, it doesn’t even feel like I’ve eaten, I’m like a huge gap and I bet I could eat five pounds of oatmeal and six cases of eggs and I’d still be able to eat!! 🙂
For those of you interested, my diet looks like this these days:
Breakfast: 1/2 cup oatmeal with 1 cup egg whites
Snack#1: Usually my Gaspari chocolate shake and 3 caramel rice cakes following my morning weight work out
Lunch: 5 oz lean protein such as chicken, shrimp, white fish or egg whites, with 2 cups of cruciferous vegetables (spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, asparagus, etc.)
Snack #2: 1 cup of cottage cheese with cinnamon and 1 tbsp walnuts or 1/2 cup of unsweetened apple sauce
Here’s where I also go to the gym and do workout #2 (cardio)
Dinner: Same as lunch
Snack #3: 3 egg whites, 2 cups of vegetables
I have some whole almonds too (not roasted, but raw) in between. I tend to get really lean and look “Sunk in” if I don’t have any fat, so I’m trying to get some healthy fats since I seem to have a difficult time adding in any olive oil or avocado. I like chewing my fat and for it to have “crunch” I guess! 🙂 I also have been chewing way too much sugarless gum and the sugar alcohol is getting to my stomach, so the rest of this week I’m going to experiment with not having any gum at all. I drink some Crystal Light, but I want to stop that as well, slowly but surely. We’ll see if there’s anything with taste left to eat at the end of the day!
Still working on my posing – my arms are too exaggerated, so I need to practice, practice, practice until it becomes natural! Here’s my “unnatural” side pose from yesterday, lol:
Legs are coming in – but I’ve still got SO much work to do on my delts, gah!! I’m pretty straight up and down so I need to add some width/size to the shoulders in order to look curvier (never mind the fact that I don’t have fake boobs so I’ve got a disadvantage to being with). Anyway, I’m trying not to be impatient, but just enjoying the process. I have to stick with it: my diet, hard training and getting comfortable with the routine. I love working with my coach, Dana Linn, she’s awesome and so supportive, and truly my mentor and someone I look up to in this field. She says I can eat bland food for one week leading up to the show, so gosh darn it – I will!!
Keep up the great work Sunny!
I am looking forward to hearing about your show on November 12th!
As always, thanks for the inspiration!
Take care ~ Sally 🙂
Thanks for checking in, Sally – more to come soon! 🙂
