Firstly, I apologize for being so lame about posting – this blog is constantly on my mind and to everyone who reads it (if anyone!) I am sorry I don’t get to update it every day! These past couple of weeks if not months have been severely stressful as I’m worrying about my new business that I’ve started up. The stress of constantly trying to gain new clients, while figuring out the best ways to do so, has taken over my entire day and night and every moment I feel I have to sit down is spent researching, placing phone calls, going out to network with people etc. What do they say – when you don’t have your “primary needs” met (i.e. security), it’s little use to pay attention to the secondary ones, almost like following a “food pyramid” of life. So I’ve been forced to think “one step at a time, one day at a time” as I continue to work towards success in the career field. All those things aside, I must say I’m quite proud of myself that I’ve managed to keep a steady work out routine every day – I go to the gym daily after breakfast, and follow up with some cardio in the afternoon. This week less so as I’ve been struggling with a cold (brought on my STRESS probably, among other things!) but I’m really working towards improving my figure and it’s definitely showing. While I am not following a diet as strict as I did when I was prepping for my show, I am pretty much in tune with the Fighter Diet principle (minus a glass of wine or two, which is part of my work and will always be a part of my lifestyle) and feeling good.
I am looking forward to start preparations for a new show in April- that is my goal at least today. I need a date and a bigger motivation to keep going, and to continue to see the purpose in what I do, not only to lead a healthy lifestyle in general, but to fulfill my need to compete and to have a big event to look forward to. I have learned so much this year, among the most useful things, the way my body works, and how I can manipulate it into looking and feeling the way I want it to. I feel powerful because of it, stronger, and healthier than ever before!
Hope you guys are not letting the holiday period get to your head – steer clear of most of the holiday cheer and baked goods and save it for one special day if you want, and then get back on track! We have to fight to be fit, ladies and gentlemen – holiday or not!! Be back soon with more …. don’t give up on me – or yourselves! 🙂
